Very cool vibe to this place. Tried the sweet potato Gnocchi and grilled Sea Scallop plates and was NOT disappointed! Tried the Pink Elephant and Spill the Tea drinks and they were amazing! Service was top tier.

Dinner before a show at the Fox, stayed at the Element Hotel next door We arrived at their 5:00pm opening and sat the bar. Matt took great care of us. Home made chips, cheesy churro, pork belly sliders and the scallop dish. All very tasty and were delivered hot from the kitchen. Wright and Co serves amazing food, not a "meat and potatoes " place , but a very foodie shared plate restaurant

This place is super vibey. It is industrial but sleek. There's exposed brick and super cool ceilings. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. We were seated in a cool booth. The service was amazing where my water glass was never empty. We were well taken care of. The drinks were extraordinary. My husband loved both of his mocktails. They were legit mocktails with non alcoholic spirits which was nice to see. I had the down in Mexico and desert sun. Both were super balanced and flavorful. I love the use of mezcal. The food we got was mixed. Some plates were great and others were not as good. Pork belly sliders: these were so tasty! The pork belly was crispy, the bun was toasted perfectly, and I loved the heat from the sriracha. The lump crab and lobster toast: it was seasoned well and the bread was toasted nicely. It was not worth $30 for the amount of seafood you received. We had maybe 3 tiny pieces of lobster. Ricotta churro: this was so rich and decadent. There was way too much of it, but I liked the pepper to cut the richness. It needed something else to cut the fat. The leg of lamb: this was disappointing. The lamb was so dry and flavorless. It was super tough to eat. The crunchiness of the barley and pomegranates were nice and I liked the vinegar in the frisée. Cheesey hash browns: there was nothing cheesey about them. I expected it to be gooey and have a strong vinegar taste. It was super dense and did not have cheese in it at all. Overall we had a great experience. We would come back for happy hour, but nothing that made us want to come back for a specific item.

This restaurant is truly a gem! I'm always a little skeptical when trying trendy restaurants in Detroit, as the food doesn't always live up to the expectation. I was truly impressed with my experience here! The restaurant has an elegant ambiance with beautiful art and a few industrial elements that are so fitting for Detroit! Service also exceeded expectations. The style of this restaurant is small plates, and it's appropriate to order 2-3 plates per person. Their menu is on the pricier side and the plates are not very traditional. This is definitely not for everyone, but I truly appreciated how creative and unique each dish was. We started with the winter root salad and cheesy hash brown starters. The salad had a mix of carrots, radish, and a few herbs I could pick out. Nothing too crazy but it was very light and a nice way to start the meal. The hash brown was so delicious! It had a beautiful fluffy texture with a perfect crispy layer and served with a creamy, tangy sauce. It reminded me of a unique take on a baked potato. We also went with the scallop, half chicken, and Malu white fish dishes for our mains. The scallop dish was served with a blend of apple and potato pieces, served with an herb and dijon spread. I never would have imagined these flavors to work well together but this was absolutely delicious! The half chicken was served over a sweet potato mash and bok choy. Again, awesome blend of flavors and this was my partner's favorite dish of the night! Lastly, we went with the Malu white fish. The fish itself was cooked to perfection. It was light, flaky, moist, and served with a tangy white sauce. The only thing that disappointed was the risotto the fish was served with. It was mixed with sunflower seeds which gave a nice texture but it left the risotto a little to grainy and I would have liked a more rich and creamy element to this. We ended the night with the butterscotch pudding. This was a little on the heavy side but so creamy and tasty! Definitely recommend splitting this with at least one or two other people. After looking at some of the other reviews, I notice some mixed feelings on the food. I personally loved my experience but would recommend having an open mind and more adventurous taste palate if you come check out this place! I definitely hope to be back!
